Viewing Emails in Browser + Email Click Analysis Heat Map

This Daxko Engage release contains two frequently requested enhancements that we hope email marketers will love:

  • Viewing emails in a web browser
  • Seeing a heat map for email click analysis

Viewing Emails in Browser

Sometimes, readers prefer to view email content in a web browser, rather than in their email provider. Also, we know that associations would like another simple way to share email content with their team or their community. To provide a better and more accessible experience to email readers and email marketers alike, we have added a new option to include a link in Daxko Engage emails that are part of one-time initiatives.

Email Click Analysis Heat Map

Email marketers spend a lot of time designing meaningful and high-impact emails. With this release, marketers can get a deeper look into how email recipients are interacting with email content. The new Click Analysis shows a heat map of where in the email recipients are clicking on links.

View the full release notes here. These features will be available for all associations using Daxko Engage on Wednesday, November 3. Please contact support@daxko.com if you have any questions.

Monthly Add-Ons in Training Site, Digital Barcodes + More

This Daxko Operations release includes several exciting new features and updates. Read the full details below for more info and release guides.

  • Monthly Add-ons for membership (in Training Sites only)
  • Digital barcodes
  • Additional “welcome” sounds for check-ins

Also, don’t miss the “coming soon” section below for a sneak peek into upcoming releases.

Monthly Add-ons for Members – Training Site Release

As health and wellness and community impact become more important than ever, associations are focused on ways to make membership more accessible and to expand the concept of membership through more customizable add-on options that roll up to a single monthly membership payment. Monthly Add-ons for membership is the latest development in our effort to support expanding membership options.

Review the previous releases for recurring program packages and recurring membership donations.

What’s New with Monthly Add-ons?

Monthly Add-ons will help associations provide more membership customization, as well as make it simpler to create and manage fees across multiple branches. Read the user guide for the full details, but here are a few key things to know:

  • Member-level fees: Users can charge Monthly Add-ons per unit or per members
  • Ease of creation: Users can create Monthly Add-ons for multiple branches all at once, while still being able to define branch-specific GL Accounts and amounts.
  • Reliable recurring revenue: New Monthly Add-ons can be applied only to auto renewing monthly billing cycles
  • Conversion process: Existing recurring fees must be converted to Monthly Add-ons. Converted fees will continue to function as they do today, even for memberships with non-monthly billing cycles. However, Monthly Add-ons cannot be added to these non-monthly memberships.
  • Recurring Fees phasing out in 2022: We will be requiring associations to convert to Monthly Add-ons no later than the end of 2022.

Monthly Add-on functionality will be released to the Training Site for all associations on Wednesday, October 27. We want associations to take plenty of time to become familiar with new Monthly Add-ons before System Administrators can request to enable this in the Live site. Read more details about Monthly Add-ons, including how to enable in your live site, in the user guide here.

Digital Barcodes

Associations are always looking to improve the check-in experience for their members. This release introduces a new ability for members to access their digital barcode and add it to their mobile phone via applications like Apple Wallet and Google Pay.

Also, staff users will be able to send members a digital barcode via text message after adding a new membership. These features will be available for all associations in their Live Site on Wednesday, October 27.

Review the user guide here.

New “Welcome” Check-In Sounds

We have added two more options associations can choose from for their welcome check-in sounds. To access these new options, navigate to System Options > Device Settings > Sound on Check-In > Check-In Success.

Coming soon… 👀

Finally, in last couple months of 2021 (can you believe it?!), we have a few more exciting and important releases planned.

Gender Inclusivity in Daxko Operations – Training Site Release

As we shared earlier this month, Daxko Operations will soon include expanded gender identity options to provide a more inclusive experience to all who join. In a few weeks, we will release new gender identity options to give people with an additional gender identity the ability to self-describe, and we will also change the listing of “Unspecified” to “Rather Not Say”.

In order to give each association enough time to provide staff training, we plan to release this functionality to the Training Site in early November and then to the Live Site a few weeks after that.

This project is one that our team took great care to research and support with data and user feedback. If you want to learn more about our research, please click HERE.

We appreciate so many associations who have assisted us along the way! If your association has any feedback, please reach out to our product team.

Cart Reminder Emails

In age of online shopping, most of us are familiar with this scenario: you browse products or offerings, you see something you’re interested in, and you add it to your cart. Then, before you complete the purchase, you have second thoughts or get sidetracked, and you step away from the process. Now, you’ve left an “abandoned cart”.

In early December, we will be releasing automated Cart Reminder emails for abandoned program registrations, which will send to online shoppers 24 hours after they leave a cart abandoned. We already have several early adopters using Cart Reminders, and in just a few weeks they have seen thousands of dollars of revenue come in from abandoned program registration carts that were picked back up and completed.

As always, please contact support@daxko.com if you have any questions or feedback.

Updates to Daxko Operations

With this release, we have made a handful of small updates, including a confirmation email for registrants who move from the waitlist to the roster, as well as changes to some report pages.

Waitlist-to-Roster Registration Email

It’s important for members to know when they move off the waitlist for that program they’re signed up for. For traditional program registrations and child care and camp program registrations, we have added a confirmation email that registrants will receive when a staff member moves them from a waitlist to the roster. The email will be the same email that is sent when someone registers in-house or online.

Report Page Updates

We have also made updates to the technology we use for seven membership and finance report pages. The URL for these pages will be slightly different, and users may notice minor layout changes, but report functionality, filters, and exports have not been changed. If users have any of these pages bookmarked in their browser, they will need to update the URL following this release.

Here are the pages that will be updated:

  • Membership > Mailing List
  • Membership > Membership List
  • Membership > Membership Type Unit List
  • Finance > Member Statements
  • Finance > Third Party Statements
  • Finance > Pending Batch
  • Finance > Credit Card Batch List

The above items will be available for associations on Tuesday, August 31.

Expanding Membership Through Recurring Revenue

Meanwhile, we’re continuing to focus on creating new ways for associations to expand the value of membership. In July, we introduced recurring program packages, making it easier for members to add program packages (and even schedule them!) as part of their monthly membership dues. And earlier in August, we released recurring donations so that members could include a monthly donation to associations.

Up next this fall, we will be releasing functionality around new recurring monthly add-ons for things like amenities and other services. Also, stay tuned for new automated cart reminder emails for “abandoned” registrations.

As always, contact us at support@daxko.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Monthly Recurring Membership Donations

Donations are crucial for your association, and your team works hard to fundraise for annual campaigns, capital campaigns, and other causes. With this release, staff can easily add a recurring donation to monthly membership dues. Recurring donors can help give associations a predictable, effective path toward consistent fundraising growth—plus, donors love the option to give in a budget-friendly way!

We heard from associations that members want to see monthly donations as part of their monthly membership dues. This project is another part of our ongoing efforts to expand membership. Check out our recent release of recurring program packages. And later this year, we’ll be releasing new functionality for monthly membership add-ons and amenities.

Recurring Donations will be released to the training and live sites for all associations on Wednesday, August 18.

Monthly Recurring Membership Donations

Once campaigns have been set up to allow for monthly recurring donations, users can add one or more donations on membership dues setup. The recurring donations added to membership dues offer members one expanded membership experience and, therefore, a single price.

Coming Soon…

We understand that associations may need some time to set up campaigns to allow monthly recurring donations, and we plan to continue enhancing this experience for staff and members. Within the next month, we’ll be releasing changes that will accommodate returns of monthly dues that contain a donation. Stay tuned for that and more.

Email Communication Preferences for Associations Using Daxko Engage

This release introduces new functionality to manage email communication preferences for associations using Daxko Engage, as well as design changes on the Member Online Account page. This release will be available on Wednesday, August 4. Please note: these changes will not be reflected in your Training site until Friday, August 6.

Email Communication Preferences – for Associations Using Daxko Engage
Recipients of email – which is just about everyone these days – need a way to control how they keep in touch with the various organizations they’re involved with. And because a member’s preferences may change over time, they need a way to manage that on their own. With this Daxko Operations release, associations using Daxko Engage will now have two new ways to facilitate member email preference managements.

  1. Primary members accessing their online account (Online Account > View Account) will have an option to trigger the preference email from their online account to manage preferences for emails sent through Daxko Engage.
  2. Staff users will have a new option on the “Update Email” modal on the Member Information page (Membership > Membership Information > Edit Email) to trigger the email for communication preference to be sent to the associated member email addresses.

Manage Online Account
Members will now have a “Manage” dropdown in the primary member card info on View Account screen (Online Account > View Account). Members will have options to Edit Profile, Change Password and – if using Daxko Engage – Email Settings and SMS Settings.

Read the full release details here. This release will be available on Wednesday, August 4. Please contact support@daxko.com if you have questions, concerns, or feedback for our team.
