Design and Usability Updates

We’re continuing the design updates to commonly used pages and reports in Daxko Operations, the fifth in a series of releases focused on improving the usability and consistency throughout the system. This phase includes updates for the following pages:

  • Membership Dues – Live sites
  • Data Manager – Live sites
  • Updates to Member Search –  Live sites
  • Membership Information Training sites only

Read the details of the updates in the full user guide here.

Important note: with this release, the Membership Information design updates will take effect in associations’ Training sites only on August 31. We strongly encourage your teams to familiarize yourselves with the updates while they’re available in the Training site. Details about the changes to Membership Information are included in the above user guide. In two weeks, with the Daxko Operations release on September 14, we plan to make these updates in associations’ Live sites.

Donations During Checkout

We understand that collecting donations is an integral part of your organization’s mission. With the release of Donations During Checkout, Daxko Operations users who allow online program or childcare registration can now request and accept donations during checkout online.

Read the user guide here and get answers to Frequently Asked Questions here. This feature will be released to Training sites for all associations on August 31. We plan to release to Live sites for all associations on September 14.

Need help accessing your Daxko Operations Training site?

You can think of the Training site as a “sandbox” environment for your team to test functionality and train team members. The site is a copy of your Live site and can be accessed by logging in here: https://operations-train.daxko.com/  Users can log in with their Live site username and password.

We want you to be able to see every aspect of your member, participant, or donor experiences. This includes the emails they would receive. In the Training site, any email addresses that are listed on a member or branch page will be automatically changed to “test@test.com” to ensure no emails are erroneously sent to members, participants, donors, or users. Feel free to put your personal or professional email into the site to test any emails sent by the system.

Daxko Engage: End Date for Ongoing Initiatives + Locked Rows for Email Editor

Ongoing Initiatives | Introducing End Dates

Based on customer feedback, we recognize there are instances when an ongoing initiative needs to end.  With our latest release, you can now choose a future date for which an ongoing initiative will be marked completed.  When the ongoing initiative reaches the end date, it will be marked as completed and no additional correspondence will be sent to anyone in that initiative.

Ends on Date for Initiatives

Email Editor | Introducing Locked Rows

Administrators can now lock rows in the email editor.  This enhancement is ideal for standardizing your headers and footers, giving you peace of mind that these rows cannot be modified by other user roles.  When building an email, Administrators will see the “Low Rock” option at the very top of the ROWS Tab.  To lock a row, simply click the toggle and you will see that ‘Locked’ is displayed in blue. By default, rows remain unlocked.

Engage Row locked

These updates will be available for all associations using Daxko Engage on Wednesday, August 10. Please contact support@daxko.com if you have any questions.

Daxko Operations Release: Age Range Eligibility for Child Care + More

This week’s Daxko Operations release includes a handful of enhancements that have come directly from recent user feedback. Be sure to check out the full details below!

  • Payment Receipt Return Reason
  • Age Range Eligibility for Child Care & Camp Programs
  • Export Updates for Program Package Roster

Payment Receipt Return Reason

Following the last release, where we updated the design and layout of the Payment Receipt page, we heard that the removal of the Return Reason had a negative impact on users who were assisting members with returned payments. In streamlining the design of the Payment Receipt page, it was not our intent to hide valuable information like this, so we have added it along with other details back to that page.

Age Range Eligibility for Child Care & Camp Programs

Users setting up child care and camp programs already have a lot on their plate, so efficiency is important. We have heard from users that for some child care offerings, it would be helpful to set an age range for registration eligibility, in addition to the current “born between” date range. With this release, staff users can now set the age range eligibility for the child care and camp programs. Read the user guide for more details.

Export Updates for Program Package Roster

In this minor update, we’ve made it easier for associations offering recurring program packages to track which program packages were sold in a recurring way or individually. To view these details, select a program package from Manage Programs > Create Roster > Export. In the export, users will see a new column for “Recurring”, where programs will either be “Yes” or “No”. The new column will be included in both the “Roster” and “Redemption” tabs in the export.

Daxko Operations Release: More Design and Usability Updates + Preferred Name in Child Watch

More Design & Usability Updates

With this release, we’re excited to continue our design updates to commonly used pages and reports, the second in a series of releases focused on improving the overall usability and consistency of Daxko Operations. Check out the details of our last release here.

This second phase includes updates to the following six pages:

  • Membership Module
    • Search
    • Payment Receipt
    • Billing Methods
  • Finance Module
    • Deposit List
    • Shift Close-outs
    • Refund List

One of the updates we’re most excited about is the new Search Page. Now, users can easily switch between search methods (Name, Member ID, Date of Birth, Barcode, Home Phone). We’ve heard from users that their branch may have a preferred method they use every time, so instead of forcing users to manually switch to that method for every search, the system will remember the method you last used. Another improvement we’ve made is adding three more options to the Actions column of the results. Depending on user permissions, users can now jump straight into Program Registrations, Editing Member Information, or adding an alert right from the search results.

Read the user guide to review the pages being updated in this release and how that might impact your team’s workflows.

Displaying Preferred Name in Child Watch

The way your staff welcomes children in to a child watch area is important. Now, associations using preferred name can now view a child’s preferred name in the displayed child records in the Child Watch Check-In, as well as on this check in screen. Read more details here.

These items will be available for associations on Wednesday, July 6. Please contact support@daxko.com if you have any questions.

Search Functionality Updates

Based on feedback received from our customers, we have made some changes to the search functionality to produce more desired results.  Using quotations will still produce an exact match but we’ve improved search logic to more closely match the search criteria entered in the search field when quotations are not used.

These Gender Identity and Search function updates will be available for all associations using Daxko Engage on Tuesday, June 28. Please contact support@daxko.com if you have any questions.

Daxko Operations Release: Design and Usability Updates + More

With this release, we’re excited to introduce an updated design to a few commonly used pages and reports, the first in a series of releases focused on improving the overall usability and consistency of Daxko Operations. Read below for more details around that.

In addition to these design upgrades, this release also includes a handful of other new features and enhancements:

  • Block Online Access for Members
  • Event Log Entries for Trial Memberships
  • New Partnerships Page for Integrations
  • Daxko Scheduling: Appointment Manager Updates

Design & Usability Updates – Our New DNA

Ease of use is essential for Daxko Operations — now more than ever, as associations have been operating with smaller teams or are onboarding new users who aren’t familiar with the system. Your teams need software tools that are intuitive, easy to use, and faster to learn so that you can focus on serving your community.

In support of enhancing usability, we will be making a series of design upgrades across Daxko Operations. With this, we’re establishing new, consistent patterns throughout the system, as well as redesigning pages to improve usability and functionality, improvements all driven by data and research. We’re excited to introduce 3 of those updated pages in this release.

  • Transactions
  • Membership History
  • Account Balance

Read more about these updates here.

Also, in case you missed it: Last week, we hosted a Project Thrive Ask the Expert session about the design upgrades our team has been working on. Check that out here.

Other Features and Enhancements

Block Online Access for Members

In some circumstances, associations may need to prevent members for accessing their online account. For example, if a member has an outstanding balances, associations may wish to block him or her from registering for a program or taking some other actions online. With this new feature, users with appropriate permissions can place a high-level alert on a member’s record and block all online actions except for paying a balance.

Review the user guide here for more details about how this works.

Event Log Entries for Trial Memberships

Trial Memberships are a great way for associations to allow prospective members to try out a branch for a specified number of days. With this release, we have added event log entries to help associations keep track of when Trial Memberships have been enabled or disabled for a branch, as well as if the trial period has been updated.

New Partnerships Page

Did you know Daxko has a partner network of best-in-breed providers? Check out the Daxko Exchange for more details. With this release, we’ve added a new item in the System Menu, which allows Administrators to view which partners their association has approved to interact with Daxko Operations as well as the types of data the partner has access to and when their data was last accessed.

Review the full user guide here.

Daxko Scheduling: Appointment Manager Updates

We know that associations are tracking orientations as part of their membership metrics. Now, associations using Daxko Scheduling now have a simpler way to view the total number of open and completed appointments at a glance, as well as a way to export appointment details for selected range of time.

Daxko Engage Release: No-Send Schedules for Initiatives

No-Send Schedules for Initiatives

Setting up automated initiatives can be a huge efficiency gain for associations using Daxko Engage, as well as a great way to ensure that members receive engagement touchpoints at appropriate times. However, we also understand that there are occasionally holidays and other special events when associations do not want emails or text messages to send to members or the community.

Because of this need, we are excited to release No-Send Schedules, periods during which communication from initiatives is paused for a short time and deferred until later.  Check out this User Guide to learn more.

No-Send Schedules will be available for all associations using Daxko Engage on Tuesday, May 31. Please contact support@daxko.com if you have any questions.

Other great updates in this release include:

  1. Users can now send test emails from “Define Workflow” step to another email address.
  2. Engage Administrators and Marketing Managers can now copy a group.
  3. In Step 4 (Review) of creating an Initiative, users can now see which user or team a task is assigned to in that workflow.
  4. Membership ID has been added to Group Exports.
  5. Custom Merge Fields are available with multiple imported group.
