Daxko Operations: Automated Sibling Discounts + a Look Ahead at Upcoming Releases

With this Daxko Operations release, we’re introducing a simple way to automate sibling discounts for child care and camp programming. Early adopters have been using this functionality for several months, and we’re excited to make that available for all organizations.

This release also includes and enhancement to the GroupEx PRO + Daxko Operations integration, along with a handful of fixed issues. These updates and enhancements will be available for all organizations on Wednesday, November 7.

Automated Sibling Discounts

This release includes the ability to configure basic sibling discounts for child care & camp programs. We know associations have specific sibling discount rules that can be either automatic or a manually approved discount. We also understand that this initial release will not accommodate every scenario, so we will look to early users like you to know what we should add next.

In this first release, automated sibling discounts will be available for online registrations for child care and camp programs only. Registrations must occur in the same cart checkout for the same program for members in the same membership.

Syncing Member Updates Between Daxko Operations + GroupEx PRO

As more and more associations adopt the integration between Daxko Operations and GroupEx PRO, we’re continuing to make that experience smoother for members and staff. With this release, updates made to member name and/or email address in Daxko Operations will automatically sync to GroupEx PRO.

  • Fix to website redirect button on online giving receipt
  • Fix for Collections Manager export for member-rate customers
  • Fix for issue when attempting to adjust off org. balances en masses
  • Fix for errors when saving Child Profile w/ “Gender Identity” question

Daxko Operations: Community Events Available Now!

With this week’s Daxko Operations release, new Community Events functionality is available in Live sites for all organizations. Feedback from early adopters has been great so far, so whether in your Training or Live site, we encourage you to check this out if you haven’t already. Read before for more details!

This Daxko Operations releases includes a couple of meaningful enhancements to membership add-ons for organizations looking to provide more flexibility in their membership offerings, as well as additional features for charging program sales tax for childcare.

Plus, our team recently dedicated significant time addressing a backlog of outstanding defects impacting users like you. We know sometimes one small defect can cause a lot of frustration for you and your team, so we’re thrilled to say that this release includes over 60 fixed issues and maintenance updates. Program Sales Tax for Childcare Programs

With this release, organizations serving states or counties that require sales tax for childcare program registrations now have the ability to set up and automatically charge sales tax. It’s as simple as configuring sales tax at the branch level and choosing at the childcare or camp program level whether tax should apply.

Design Updates

This release also includes updates to a few other pages in Daxko Operations in our effort to improve overall usability:

Schedule Payment – Updated the button text on schedule details page to provide more clarity to users.


Fixed Issues and Maintenance

Recently, our engineering team dedicated significant time toward addressing the backlog of outstanding defects and maintenance items. This release includes over 60 fixed issues and maintenance updates. Key items include:

  • Fix to send confirmation emails to staff for in-house and online new member joins.
  • Fix to remove member online account access link from staff confirmation email.
  • Fix to send confirmation emails to multiple staff users listed in program notification settings.
  • Fix to allow refunds for donations during checkout when the program fee is also refunded.
  • Fix to remove any unpaid, deleted pledges and show campaigner on the Prospect Details report.
  • Fix to prevent registrations to closed programs using the cart reminder email.
  • Fix to prevent users from entering invalid DOB for Authorized Pickup causing error.
  • Fix to accurately capture check-ins from Member Search.
  • Fix to correctly display Next Process Date when auto-renew is disabled on unit membership dues.

Daxko Operations: Membership Add-ons Online, Online Payment Page Updates and a lot more!

This Daxko Operations includes several exciting new enhancements that your members and staff will be sure to appreciate!

First, we’re leaning into membership flexibility with a new way for your association to offer membership add-ons during the online join process for potential members, letting joining members build a membership that fits them. Next, we’ve redesigned and simplified the online My Balance and Payments pages members use via their online account. Then we’re making the offender screening process through Trusted Screening a little easier with the addition of sortable columns for member status. Finally, this release also includes a few page design updates and handful of bug fixes & maintenance items.

Organizations continue to provide more flexibility in their membership offerings in order to reach more people, so we’re excited to offer membership add-ons in the online membership join experience. Allow joining members to browse add-on options and build the membership that makes the most sense for them.

Updated Online Payment Pages for Members

As user preferences shift towards online account management, especially on mobile devices, we recognize the critical importance of simplicity, accessibility, and security with online payments. That’s why we’ve made enhancements to the online payment experience within the Daxko Operations member portal. Now, members will have a simpler time managing their balance and scheduling payments — whether on their desktop or on a mobile device.

Trusted Screening: Filter by Member Status

The security of your facilities is crucial, and your teams work diligently to create a safe and welcoming environment for the communities you serve. Daxko is committed to providing solutions to help you do that, and with this release we’ve enhanced the Trusted Screening RSO Report to include a column for Member Status along with a way to sort the records so that staff can prioritize potential matches for review.

Daxko Operations: Trusted Screening Enhancements

With this Daxko Operations release, we are enhancing new Trusted Screening functionality by providing more information about birth dates for potential offenders, allowing your staff to make better decisions during the screening process.

Trusted Screening: Birth Date Updates

The security of your facilities is crucial, and your teams work diligently to create a safe and welcoming environment for the communities you serve. Daxko is committed to providing solutions to help you do that. In working alongside our partner Raptor Technologies, we have been able to provide more detail about offender dates of birth.

Previously, many offender records showed as “N/A”, but now we are able to provide not only the actual date of birth if it’s present (ex: 4/21/1978) but also year of birth. And in the event the offender record has only an age, Daxko Operations will display two possible birth years.

With this release, we’re continuing to make design updates to a few pages in Daxko Operations. As you have noticed over the past year, we have been making usability updates to many pages across Daxko Operations. Throughout the system you’ll notice a refreshed look and feel to buttons, links, and other elements. However, core functionality hasn’t changed with these updates.

The new Child Profile provides a dedicated childcare profile that parents & guardians can access and update before, during, and after registrations. Early adopters who have been using the Child Profile have been able to streamline their childcare registration process by reducing the number of common questions asked by around 70% while also allowing parents & guardians to update Child Profile questions before, during, and even after registration.

Middle Name for Online Join

We have learned from associations that being able to collect member middle name as part of the standard online join form would go a long way in helping you maintain better member data, reduce the amount of duplicates in your system, as well as improve the offender screening process through services like our new Trusted Screening integration.

In support of all that, we’re excited to include Middle Name as an optional field in the standard online membership join form.

The middle name field will be available in online join forms for all organizations in your Training sites and Live sites on Wednesday, August 16.


Page updates: New Design DNA

This release includes design updates to several pages in Daxko Operations. As you have noticed over the past year, we have been making usability updates to many pages across Daxko Operations. With this release, we’re continuing that with additional design updates, so throughout the system you’ll notice a refreshed look and feel to buttons, links, and other elements. However, core functionality hasn’t changed with these updates.

Summer is heating up, and so are things with Daxko Operations! We’re excited to say that we’ve got a lot packed into this release, so be sure to review the full release blog below for the full details on these items:

Program Sales Tax

With this release, organizations serving states or counties that require sales tax for program registrations now have the ability to set up and automatically charge sales tax. Membership Add-on Enhancements

As organizations provide more and more ways for their members to create a personalized membership experience for their needs and interests, Daxko has been working to provide more flexibility in membership setup. Since the release of Monthly Add-ons a few years ago, we have been learning that many organizations need the ability to apply add-ons to memberships that use billing cycles other than monthly, such as annual or quarterly memberships. Here’s what included in these enhancements:

Allow Add-ons to billing cycles other than monthly for any auto-renewing membership

Configure add-ons to display on Rapid Check-in

Daxko Operations: Updated Online Account Available For Members + New Resource Center Tool

This week, we’re thrilled to introduce an updated and more intuitive online account for your members, featuring a new dashboard and streamlined access to the most commonly used features. As announced in past release communications and reminders, this new online experience has been available in Training sites since June 20, and we’ve received great feedback so far. Read below for more details!

Plus, we’re rolling out a new tool for Daxko Operations users to make it easier to stay in the know about product updates and to access relevant resources on the Daxko Help Center. Read below about the new Resource Center.


Updated Online Account For Members – Now in Live Sites!

One of the first experiences members have with your organization is their online member account, and we want that experience to be an excellent one! Plus, over the past year, we have released new online experiences like the GroupEx PRO integration and Online Area Rentals , and we’ll continue adding more self-service features in the future. In support of an all-around better experience, we are excited to release a new My Account to your members!

The new online member account includes the following enhancements:

  • new dashboard for members for all the most common actions for managing their account
  • Updated and streamlined navigation
  • Mobile-friendly design — did you know that nearly 60% of members regularly access their online account on a mobile device?

New Resource Center!

We know sometimes it’s tough keeping up with the latest updates and enhancements made to Daxko Operations, and we know not all users regularly review this release blog. That’s why we’re excited to announce a new Resource Center tool available to all users in Daxko Operations. In the Resource Center users can find product updates & announcements as well as quick access to the Daxko Help Center for new and seasoned users of the system.

The Resource Center can be found at the bottom righthand corner of the Member Search page in Daxko Operations. The Resource center will include two main sections, plus a third that displays for new users:

  • Product Updates: this section includes announcements about recent updates and releases to Daxko Operations. A numbered badge will indicate new, unread announcements.
  • Daxko Help Center: this section includes quick links to Daxko Help Center knowledge articles, training videos, and other resources.
  • Getting Started: this section will display only to new users during their first 60 days of logging into Daxko Operations and will include handy links to Daxko Essentials Training, an Intro to Customer Service, and tips on accessing the Daxko Operations Training site.
