Updated Groups List + Email Editor Changes

This release introduces useful enhancements to the Groups list, giving you more information about Groups at a glance. We have also made changes to the Email Editor, including a new content block option called Icons.

(Internet Explorer users, be sure to review below section about the changes we’ve made that affects access to the Email Editor.)

Finally, for associations using text message features, this release also includes a small enhancement to the way we display people waiting for a text message in multi-step initiatives.

Groups List Updates

  • View Running Initiatives using Groups
  • View number of people in Groups
  • See which user last updated Groups
  • Group Actions menu

 Email Editor changes

In order to take advantage of new features and to provide the best email creation experience, we have upgraded the Email Editor to the latest version. Aside from the new Icons feature, you shouldn’t notice much difference.

However, the new version of the editor is not supported by Internet Explorer browsers. If you have been using Internet Explorer, please consider making the switch to Chrome (our recommendation), Firefox, or Safari.

New “Icons” content block in Email Editor

Sometimes, design layouts require mixing icons or images with text. With the new Icons content option, you’ll be able to create icon-based content for lists or other content rows that need to include multiple images.

Display people awaiting text message

Given text message send time guidelines, we will now show a “People Here” column for text message steps in the Initiative Workflow details. This number will display the members set to receive a text message once we’re able to send the messages.

Review the full details here. The above features will be available on Friday, July 17. If you have any questions, please reach out to support@daxko.com.

Assign Tasks for a Specific Date + More New Features

This release contains a few frequently requested enhancements, in addition to some small maintenance items and defect fixes. We will also be enabling a new icon-based content option in the email editor next week; details about that are included below.

Assign a Task to be due on a specific date

Users assigning one-off Tasks have requested more precision when setting a due date. With this release, all Engage users have the option to select a specific date that a Task should be completed by.

Additional timeframes for Member and Unit Visits Group Rules

Given how rapidly “normal” has been evolving these days, you might need to segment facility visits by timeframes more recent than the past 2 weeks. Now, for the “Has visited…” and “Hasn’t visited…” Group Rules, you can choose to segment by three new timeframes: 1 day, 3 days, 1 week

The above features will be available on Friday, June 26. Read the full details here.

Updates to New SMS Texting in Daxko Engage

As you likely saw with our Rapid Recovery Toolkit, we recently launched new SMS Texting in Daxko Engage. Many organizations have been using this new feature to send texts through initiatives, and we have been receiving a lot of helpful feedback around how we can improve SMS.

Thanks to that feedback, we’re thrilled to release a few updates! These updates make it simpler for you to collect opt ins from your members and give you the ability to send texts in ongoing and multi-step initiatives.

Text to Opt In

We know it’s important that the text opt-in process be as simple and painless as possible for your members, while also making sure you are compliant with SMS opt-in guidelines. Now, you have the ability to establish a unique keyword. Members can text this keyword to the Daxko Engage short code and opt themselves in.

With this simplified opt-in process, your team can use social media posts, in-branch flyers, email, and other materials to promote your text messaging service to your members.

Send Texts in Ongoing Initiatives

Your members want to hear from you via text message through Ongoing initiatives. Many initiatives such as new member welcome campaigns or program registration follow up can be enhanced through text messaging.

Now, simply add text message steps in Ongoing initiatives or in initiatives that include multiple workflow steps.

These new features will be available on Tuesday, June 16, for organizations using SMS Texting. Read more about these new features and more in the user guide.

Or, if you want to learn more about how SMS Texting can help you connect with your members in a new way, email marketing@daxko.com.

Updates to Child Care, Camp, and Discount Group Rules

This release includes additional enhancements to registration Group Rules, similar to updates we made with our May 15 release. Also included is an enhancement to the Discount Group Rule, plus a few minor maintenance items and bug fixes.

Group Child Care and Camp Registrations By Time Frame and Currently on Roster

Similar to the enhancements we made with our May 15 release (review those notes here), you can now group by child care and camp registrations that occurred within a specific time frame as well as by registrants who are still on the roster.

Group By Discount Groups Currently Applied

When using the With Discount Group Rule, you can now choose to include people who have ever had the selected discount groups or people who currently have the groups applied.

Read more details about these Group Rule enhancements here. These will be available on Friday, June 5. If you have questions, please reach out to support@daxko.com.

Program Group Rule Enhancements + Updates to Following Groups

Attention marketers and program directors! With this release, you can fine-tune program communications with new enhancements to the Program Group Rules. These enhancements allow segmentation by registration timeframe and by people who have registered and are still on the roster. Also included in this release: enhancements to the Recognition Flags and Zip Code Group Rules, plus the ability to follow multiple Groups.

Group Program Registrations By Time Frame

In addition to grouping by people who have registered for one or more programs, now you can group by registrations that occurred within a specific time frame. This allows for more timely and targeted communication based off of when a registration occurred.

Group Program Registrants By Those Not Cancelled

We have heard from marketers and other program staff that occasionally they need to send communications that exclude people who have cancelled their registrations for whatever reason. Now there’s an option that allows you to include only those registrants who are still on the roster.

Note:the above Program Registration enhancements will be coming soon for childcare and camp registrations in a future release.

Other Enhancements Included in this Release

  • View More Program Sessions
  • Exclude by Zip Code
  • Filter Recognition Flags By “And” or “Or”
  • Follow Multiple Groups

Read all the details about this release in the User Guide. The above features will be available on Friday, May 15. If you have questions, please reach out to support@daxko.com.

New Group Rules + Updates to Email Templates and Follow Features

This week’s release includes enhancements to Groups, email templates, the Follow feature, as well as a handful of small maintenance items. Many of these enhancements originated from product enhancement requests from users like you!

Import More Contacts

In response to COVID-19 communication efforts, we’ve recently heard from customers who need to upload more than 10,000 contacts through Imported Groups. With this release, users can now upload up to 50,000 contacts, as long as the csv file is no larger than 10MB.

Segment Members by Join Method

How you communicate to new joins may be different depending on how they joined. Now, create Groups of members based on the membership sign-up method. Choose between “Joined Online” or “Joined In-House” to fine-tune your audience.

Group by Number of Check-Ins with Member Visits Rule

To the “Member Visits” Group Rule we have added two new options that allow users to target members based on a specific threshold of facility visits over a period of time:

  • Has visited at least ___ times in the last ___.
  • Has visited at least ___ times between ___ and ___.

Email Previewer in Running Initiatives + Email Templates in Initiatives

Recently, we added the ability to preview emails in Completed and Cancelled initiatives. Now, users will see the email previewer for Running initiatives as well. This will allow users to quickly see the email without having to open the editor. Then, to make changes to the email, simply select “Edit” to proceed to the editor.

Also part of this release is the ability for users to preview email templates before adding them to an initiative they’re creating.

Search Email Templates

Search for email templates by name! The new search function can be accessed in the following places:

  • Main Email Templates page (System Menu > Email Templates)
  • Adding an email while defining an initiative workflow step
  • Changing the email design in a running initiative

Autosaved Email Templates

Users’ work in email templates will automatically save, much like it does when designing emails within initiatives. Autosave will occur every 2 minutes. Users will see a “Heads up!” message on the email templates page for any designs that have been autosaved while in progress.

Access Follow Feature from Tasks

The Tasks page is where a lot of users do much of their work following up with members. Now, all users will have the ability to Follow members from this view. Simply select “Follow” to begin following or select again to stop following.

See People That Users Follow

The Follow feature is a great way for users to stay aware of those members they’re building relationships with. Now, Supervisor-level users and above have the ability to see which people or groups other Engage users are following.

The above features will be available on Friday, April 24. See full release notes here. If you have questions, please reach out to support@daxko.com.

Happy Engage-ing!

Group Donors by Campaign

In response to the community impact of COVID-19, organizations are encouraging donations to help continue vital services. Some are encouraging members to convert membership and program dues into donations.

In support of these efforts, we have added a group rule in Daxko Engage. The new Campaign group rule allows users to create a group of donors based on the specific campaign they have given to. This will help support meaningful follow-up communication through initiatives.

Group By Campaign

This Group Rule is available Monday, March 30. To read the details, check out the release notes.

Previewer for Email Templates

In a past release, we allowed marketers to preview email designs for completed and cancelled initiatives. With this release, users can preview email templates in the same way.

New User Roles + More Initiative Details in Daxko Engage

Today’s Daxko Engage release includes new user role permissions, more initiative details, and a few other small fixes and enhancements. Read the full release details here.

New User Role Permissions

We have heard from our Daxko Engage partners that they need more flexibility with the permissions they give their staff:

“I want to allow my program directors to create initiatives for their departments, but I want someone else approving the initiatives before they launch.”

“I want more staff to have access to Daxko Engage reports and dashboards, but I do not want them having access to launching initiatives.”

As we previously announced, this release gives Daxko Engage Administrators the ability to more finely control which users on their team are able to launch, schedule, cancel or delete initiatives without limiting who can create initiatives or email templates.

  • The new “Marketing Manager” role has the ability to create, launch, schedule and delete initiatives.
  • The new “Manager” role has the ability to create initiatives and email templates – and has access to reports and dashboards – but does not have the ability to launch, schedule, or delete initiatives.

All active users in the “Manager” role now have the new “Marketing Manager” role. Any inactive users who had the previous “Manager” permission level now have the new “Manager” permission level.

More Initiative Details

In addition to the new roles, this release also provides you with more visibility into which users are launching, scheduling, and updating initiatives. We have added columns within the Initiatives tabs as well as additional details on View Initiative pages, where you’ll be able to see more information about which user launched that initiative and which user last updated it.

Other Items in this Release

  • We fixed a defect that prevented users from using a “wait” as Step 1 in an ongoing initiative.
  • We fixed a defect that displayed the incorrect year in the New Joins Retention Graph under Dashboards.

The above changes will take effect on Thursday, 9/5/2019. To read all the details, check out the release notes.

Coming Soon to Daxko Engage: New User Roles

New User Role Permissions in Daxko Engage

In an upcoming release in September, Daxko Engage Administrators will have the ability to more finely control which users on their team are able to launch, schedule, cancel or delete initiatives without limiting who can create initiatives or email templates.

Following the release, the new “Marketing Manager” role will have the ability to create, launch, schedule and delete initiatives. This role is ideal for those users on your team who own your overall marketing and communications strategy.

The new “Manager” role will have the ability to create initiatives and email templates – and has access to reports and dashboards – but no longer has the ability to launch, schedule, or delete initiatives. This role is designed for those users on your team who need to access reports and dashboards or who need to create initiatives for their department.

There is nothing you need to do to prepare for this release, but we wanted you to be aware of what the transition will look like. With the upcoming transition, all active users who have the “Manager” role now will be moved to the new “Marketing Manager” role. This means no active users will lose their permissions in Daxko Engage. Following the release, if you need to limit who can launch or cancel initiatives, Daxko Engage Administrators can use the new “Manager” role to do that. Any inactive users who have the current “Manager” permission level will have the new “Manager” permission level following the transition.

Stay tuned for more details about this soon in a future update.
