Email support@daxko.com with any questions.

Reconciliation for Bank Deposits Returning to Prior Process

As you know, Daxko recently transitioned from Finastra (also known as BankServ) to ACH.com for EFT payment processing. With this migration, bank reconciliation for weekends has required more compiling than it did previously. This is due to a change in process to send separate batch files for Saturday and Sunday and Monday, even though there is only one deposit on Monday.

In order to return to a process similar to what existed prior to the migration, the Daxko Operations team will begin sending the Saturday and Sunday batches to the processor on Monday. This change in process will occur on July 1, 2019.

We hope this change will make it more straight-forward to reconcile your weekend deposits.

Updates for Custom Reports

This release contains an upgrade for custom reporting in Daxko Operations.

Introducing the Daxko Attendance Tracker

Your facility is busy! You need secure and accurate child care check in for your parents and your staff. Our team has created a new experience to empower your child care and camp staff.

What is the Attendance Tracker?

The Attendance Tracker is a responsive web application and is accessible from most recent versions of tablets. It is not an application for iOS and Android that needs to be downloaded. Creating this experience in this way allows us to provide updates and features while maintaining a simple and pleasing experience for staff and members alike.

The Attendance Tracker will not eliminate the Roll Call iOS application.

What will this experience include?

The new experience will include many new and exciting features that are not currently available in the Roll Call application. The list includes features such as:

  • Two Modes – Staff and Parent
  • Training site available for educating staff
  • Show both date of birth and age
  • Display rate plans for registrants
  • Check in by site across all programs
  • Include days selected for applicable registrants

For full documentation, access the User Guide.

Increased Security for Clickjacking + New Reporting

This release strengthens security efforts that prevent clickjacking attempts. Also, we are implementing new reports to assist associations with child care capacity, availability, and returns manager events.

Clickjacking Security

As technology becomes more sophisticated so does fraud. Clickjacking is defined as “a malicious technique of tricking a user into clicking on something different from what the user perceives, thus potentially revealing confidential information or allowing others to take control of their computer while clicking on seemingly innocuous objects, including web pages.” Essentially, an individual or group out to harm individuals through deception could embed part or all of a site as a façade for users, who are unknowingly clicking options on a site behind the one they are seeing. This is a growing concern in technology and we want to respond by adding security for all Daxko Operations associations.

Associations will have access to begin entering approved domains on Wednesday, April 17th. Daxko will begin enforcing the blocking of unknown domains on Wednesday, June 26th. This provides each association with ten weeks to ensure that all valid domains have been added that need access to the Daxko Operations online pages.

New! Child Care Capacity Report

With the recent implementation of Child Care Wait Lists we count capacity in a more complex formula. In order to ensure that each association is able to see capacity by Program, Location, Rate Plan frequency, and Time of Day, we have added a new capacity report accessible from the details page of each program. This report includes an export to Excel option.

Read all of the details on pages 2-3 of this week’s User Guide.

New! Child Care Availability Messaging

In order for a staff member to know whether or not to initiate a registration in house, we have added a set of statuses for each location and rate plan. These are high-level statuses across all current and future instances.

Read all of the details on page 4 of this week’s User Guide.

Returns Manager Events Added

We added new event logging for adding fees and changing the status of rows in the Returns Manager. These events will insert a record for each of the rows selected to ensure thorough coverage of events.

Available March 20th! Wait Lists for Child Care Programs

Wait Lists for Child Care Programs

With our recent developments for child care and camp programs, we’re aiming to make your 2019-2020 school year registration an efficient and simple experience.

For those registrations that come in after a child care program is full, we now offer Wait Lists for Child Care programs! This new feature is now available on your live site and requires setup from you and your team.

Check out all of the details in the User Guide.

With this release, you can set capacity for both the before and after school care time slots, and Daxko Operations will appropriately track capacity by time of day. You can also create a wait list and move registrants to the roster as needed.

We designed our Child Care wait lists to mirror Camp wait lists, to make it easier to implement and use.
